Project conclusion (not really)
Sadly I must say hat the smile project was not a success. But, it will be in the future. Even though I might not have reached my goal, I made a great plan to pursue this project later in life. This project taught me a lot about helping others and how much charities do for people. So to me, this project was a great success.

MY 20% TIME PROJECT PROPOSAL
1) Project Objective:
The Objective of the smile project is to
donate money to less fortunate people that can’t afford proper orthodontic
care.
2) Project Rationale:
The reason for this project is that
there are many people out there that can’t afford orthodontic care. And I think
that everyone deserves to have good teeth, even if they don’t have enough
money.
3) Project Steps:
These are the steps I have so far on how
I am going to reach my goal and put this project into action:
-Gather up a little money to get things
started
-Talk with the school about the project
-Talk with Sprayberry Orthodontics about
the project
-If approved, get posters, jars, and
advertisement set up at school
-Talk with someone on how to distribute
the money to the people in need
4) Timeline of Activities:
The list above shows the order in which
the steps are going to be in. But, I’ve got 15-18 weeks to do this so I will
need to complete one or two steps each week to be successful.
5) Available Human and Material
Resources:
Hopefully some of my friends will help
out with the project, and we could hire volunteers.
In terms of material resources, all we
will really need I a few jars, some paper and markers, and we will be all set.
6) Possible Road Blocks:
Some possible road blocks would be:
-Getting denied by the school or the
Orthodontist’s Office
-Not having enough people helping me
-Distribution problems
There are ways to avoid these problems
though.
7) Research Questions:
How can I find a way to distribute the
money fairly and effectively? What ways can I get people to donate money?

My 20% time project is going to help a lot of people. I am going to try and start a charity. This charity is going to help children and families who can't afford braces. There are many children out there that need braces, but cant have them. Everyone deserves a great smile. With hard work and determination, this charity can be put into action.
